Billy Boy In Poison

Combining melodic elements and memorable choruses with raw aggression and the strong and varied vocals of Hjalte Bertelsen, Copenhagen-based BILLY BOY IN POISON offers a unique take on death metal with a modern, razor-sharp sound and even some metalcore vibes.
The band is now ready with their third LP ‘UMBRA’. Marking a bit of a shift in style for the quintet, the album offers strong songwriting and an insistent sound with both catchy and brutal elements.

“On this album we wanted to create stronger hooks and try some new sounds – while not forgetting the awesome riffs, of course,” says guitarist Alexander Mortensen.

BILLY BOY IN POISON released their debut album ‘Watchers’ in 2013 and followed up with the critically acclaimed sophomore album ‘Invoker’ in 2017. The band has performed at big Danish metal festivals Copenhell and Aalborg Metal Festival, toured abroad on multiple occasions and supported major names like Aborted, Vildhjarta and more. On the coming full-length album, the band has joined forces with renowned engineer and producer Chris Kreutzfeldt (MØL, Cabal, Ghost Iris) to create a modern soundscape with a stronger focus on songwriting and memorability.
